Big Skill Share (October 2012 to May 2013)

bakingThe big skill share project was launched on International Older Peoples day on the 1 October 2012 with the first of 12 road shows that would take place across County Durham over the next seven months. The range of activities that took place included knitting, spoon playing, singing, baking, traditional toy and games, craft making, cake decoration, exercise, dancing, New Age Kurling, fashion through the ages and gardening.

At the end of the project over 1,200 people had taken part in road shows and events that shared skills and experiences with the other generation.
